Storm Captures Crown at Coast Spring Classic

Three Beach United Football Club teams participated in the April 28-29 Coast Spring Classic in its hometown of Myrtle Beach, with two wrapping up their seasons with trophies and one earning a berth in the State Open Cup.

The BUFC Storm captured the championship of the U-14 Boys Division by posting a perfect 4-0 record in tournament play. They won the final 3-1 to collect the big trophy in their final match of the season.

The BUFC Force advanced to the finals of the U-13 Boys Division, going 3-1 on the weekend to claim runner-up honors in their season finale.

The BUFC Panthers battled in a tough division to finish 1-2. They also won the regular season title in PMSL play to earn an automatic bid to the State Open Cup.

BUFC also has six teams competing in the Academy Cup next weekend (May 5-6) - the Strikers, Crush, Tigers, Crew, Lions and Lightning.
