Beach United Teams Ready to Kick Off Spring Season

The Beach United Football Club's spring schedule is set to kick off with a full slate of tournaments, leagues, practices and clinics.

The BUFC Lions, Crew, Tigers, Strikers and Crush will compete in the U-12 and under Charleston Battery Challenge Cup, hosted by Summerville Soccer, on Feb. 17-18. The following weekend, the Panthers and Force will play in the U-13 and up version of the same tournament.

Meanwhile, the older age groups are beginning practices for their school teams but many are still finding time to work out with their BUFC teammates. The BUFC PridePumas, Flash and Legends are holding 10 Saturday workouts at The Market Common fields despite practicing with their school teams during the week. Those teams will also compete in one or two weekend tournaments for BUFC.

The younger teams continue regular weekly practices at Ashley Booth Field, but they are scheduled to return to The Market Common on Feb. 26. Team managers will have more details on the move in the coming days.

BUFC is a Myrtle Beach-based soccer club that offers advanced-level instruction and competition for boys and girls ages 5-18. Check back for results from tournament and league play throughout the season.
